Residents in Smero, Edendale, say they have been left with dry taps while millions of litres of potable water leaks daily from municipal pipes.

They told The Witness that it has been over three years since water came out of their taps.

What frustrates them, they said, was the number of water leaks from municipal pipes close to their homes.
