The family of women’s land rights activist, Sizani Ngubane, is blaming health workers for alleged negligence after she died alone of Covid-19 in her Hilton home.
“I was greeted by the smell of my mother’s decomposing body more than six metres away from her front door. I was with my son at the time and he had to see his grandmother in that state,” her son, Thulani Ngubane, told The Witness on Monday.
He said the 74-year old started showing symptoms of Covid-19 at the end of November.
