The family of National Freedom Party leader, Zanele Magwaza-Msibi, who died on Monday, has asked President Cyril Ramaphosa to grant her a state funeral.

According to the KwaZulu-Natal provincial cabinet, which held a meeting on Wednesday, the request was in line with the country’s laws.

The provincial cabinet said in a statement that the Executive Council supports the request by the Premier to Ramaphosa to grant Magwaza-Msibi a Special Provincial Official Funeral.
