The Witness had reported on an accident that had killed a child and a woman on Dargle Road in the Midlands on Saturday morning. New information revealed that a third person has died.
The woman, who was in critical condition, died in hospital. This follows the death of another woman and 11-year-old girl at the accident scene.
Road Traffic Inspectorate spokesperson, Rajen Chinaboo, said that the accident happened in Dargle Road, known as the P134. Apparently, the driver of an Isuzu bakkie lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.
There were six occupants in the bakkie, including the driver.
Chinaboo said it is believed that they are informal traders who went to buy eggs in the Dargle area. They were on their way to Howick when the bakkie overturned.
