While I was chewing the fat with my comrades with a dubious history of having degrees in colonial education, news broke that the Princess of the Revolution, Lindiwe “Princess” Sisulu, seeks to free the black child from the crutches of colonial constitutionalism, pronto. On January 7, she wrote in the local rag, an incoherent missive that purports to question the concept of the rule of law. As we know, the rule of law is foundational to our constitutional democracy.
