LETTER:

As a result of a Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs’ audit in May, as reported in The Witness (October 7), the Curry’s Post landfill site has been reported as being “poorly managed”, and according to many users, bordering dysfunctional.

uMngeni municipal manager Thembeka Cibane has drawn the council’s attention to the fact that the council’s landfill site is not complying with the legal requirements relating to the management of landfill sites.
