At 3.30 am last Friday, I was awakened by a bang and the house was engulfed by that dreadful darkness that follows a power outage. All the lights were out while some of the wall sockets had power. It was apparent that a phase or two of our three-phase supply was down. Calling the call centre yielded no response and I decided to sleep and try again later.
After numerous attempts to four different numbers, my efforts were miraculously rewarded at about 10 am when one of my calls was answered by a very cordial person who took down all my particulars and provided me with a reference number. The long wait had begun.
