OPINION:

As if load shedding, a dodgy electricity supply, civil unrest and a pandemic were not enough, businesses are also having to deal with the recent rise in criminality.

There has been a spate of violent business robberies and heists in recent weeks which point to the re-emergence of organised crime gangs. When these armed thugs unleash their activities on shops in popular malls the concern that innocent bystanders could be caught in the crossfire become very real.
