KwaZulu-Natal Human Settlements MEC Peggy Nkonyeni has been appointed to head the provincial government’s investigation into allegations of abuse at KwaSizabantu Mission.

Nkonyeni, who is also a member of the ANC provincial executive committee, will be joined by Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza in the probe.

The announcement was made by Premier Sihle Zikalala during Sunday’s media briefing on a number of developments in the province.
