Greendale SuperSpar Capital K Open Water Swim defending champion Leshen Pillay will be looking to get the better of Arno Gauche once again in his mission to retain his title.

This year’s edition of the Capital K is scheduled to take place on Sunday at Howick’s Midmar Dam under strict Covid-19 regulations. Because of the virus, only 702 swimmers have been allowed to take part in the annual event.

Because of that, the event will miss a few well-known names but race director Brad Glasspoole said the competition for top honours is still expected to be highly competitive in both men and women.
