Punjab Kings cruised past Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to win Friday night’s IPL match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai by 54 Runs.
Kings set RSC a high chase of 209, with Man of the Match Jonny Bairstow giving the Kings an excellent start with 66 runs off 29 balls.
In their reply, RCB openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis raced to 33 off 20 balls before Kohli (20) paddled a shortish ball into the ribs from Kagiso Rabada off the glove to Rahul Chahar at short fine-leg. Faf (10) went next with just one run added when he edged Rishi Dhawan behind (34/2).
Rabada was the standout bowler for Kings, taking 3/21 off his four overs. Rishi Dhawan was next best coming in with 2/36 off his four.
RCB captain Faf du Plessis said 200 was about par on that wicket, was a brilliant wicket.
