Maritzburg United midfielder Daylon Claasen has called on his team-mates to “play every match like a cup final” as their relegation battle in the DStv Premiership takes them to Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Claasen and company lock horns with equally-desperate Bloem Celtic at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium at 5 pm on Saturday and plan to build on their crucial win over Black Leopards at home in midweek.

“The guys seem to be happy, but we know it’s not the end of the fight for us. We still have a long way to go. We are taking it game by game, and for the next game, the guys seem to be confident. Every match, we have to play to win. Every match is like a cup final for us,” he added.
