Nolan Hoffman said “everything went perfectly” after he rode his way into the record books by winning his fourth aQuellé Tour Durban title at the weekend.

He did this by holding off a valiant challenge from rising star Durban rider Travis Stedman in a thrilling end-sprint.

Hoffman marshalled his Enza team to perfection and managed repeated tough challenges, particularly in the tough headwind conditions on the outward bound leg of the M4 freeway, to come into the finish of the 101 km outing in a three-bike bunch with Stedman and Alex Worsdale.
