South African Marathon Champion Matt Beers and his NinetyOne-songo-Specialized teammate French mountain biker Jordan Sarrou won the 2021 Absa Cape Epic at Val de Vie on Sunday.

In doing so, Beers becomes the first South African winner of the men’s event since the late Burry Stander, while Sarrou is the first-ever French winner of the Elite men’s category.

“This is just an incredible feeling,” said Beers according to cape-epic.com.
