Top South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen returns to American action in Minnesota today after finishing joint-third in the Open Championship in England on Sunday.

This week’s top-level golf action includes the rare situation of there being almost as many South Africans playing in a “regular” American tournament as there are in an equivalent European competition.

After trying to conquer the demanding links course chosen for the Open Championship in England last week, the seemingly unshakeable Louis Oosthuizen leads six “Saffers” into the 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota, USA on Thursday.

This is while Justin Harding, who finished tied-19th in the Major last Sunday, is among seven South Africans registered to try their luck in the Cazoo Open in Newport, Wales.
