It was an exciting weekend in road running for many reasons.

Sunday night’s “family meeting” saw the permitted number of people at outdoor gathering increase to 500 people. Although politicians have yet to acknowledge the difference in gatherings, this begins to make club events viable.

It is important to note that a basic survey of frequented exercise and pedestrian areas, such as a main street or promenade in all our major cities, shows that there are more walkers, runners, cyclists, etc., per minute passing a point that you would get with over 650 runners in a single-start 10 kilometre race.
