The 2021 SA National Aquatic Championships ended in Gqeberha on Monday evening with seven Olympic and 10 Paralympic Qualification times.

Emma Chelius’ earned a new South African Record and an Olympic Qualification time of 24,72 in the 50 m freestyle.

Kat Swanepoel (S2) set two new SA Records and a new Paralympic Qualifier. In the 50 m backstroke, the 33-year-old broke the 2008 record of 1:13,83 with a Paralympic Qualification time of 1:02,63, while in the 100 m freestyle heats session, she swam a fast 1:56,22 to the 1995 record time of 3:49,97.
