Off-form Maritzburg United have completed deals with Algerian-born defender Fares Hachi and former Brazil-based midfielder Tyroane Sandows, but seem more desperate to have recently-signed goalkeeper Sebastian Mwange available for Wednesday's league clash with Cape Town City at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Hachi, a 31-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United player, got a two-year contract from the “Team of Choice”, while 25-year-old, Gauteng-born Sandows earned a four-year agreement. Both players were free agents going into trials with United and then the negotiations, which climaxed on Monday.

Hachi last played for Sporting Lyon in the French third tier, while Sandows was based in Brazil since joining Sao Paolo’s youth academy in 2007.
