Maritzburg United are hoping that newly-signed Serbian Dušan Stevic will make his debut for the club this week.

Maritzburg United’s management are anxious to see Serbian import Dušan Stevic make his debut, amid a general improvement in their relegation-threatened side’s performances.

United visit highly-rejuvenated TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership in Nelspruit on Saturday, having collected a total of five valuable points from their last three games — against Black Leopards at Harry Gwala Stadium (HGS), Bloemfontein Celtic away and Kaizer Chiefs at HGS.

Stevic, however, has yet to put on the United jersey since he landed in South Africa four weeks ago, because of a sudden groin problem. But club boss Farook Kadodia says they have been reassured by the medical staff that the player will be free to make his debut this week, and they really hope that comes to pass.
