Maritzburg United might yet end the domestic football season with a trophy in their camp despite having languished in the nether region of the DStv Premiership standings from the opening whistle.

In a boost for their relegation battle ahead of the final two games next week, the local club were delighted to see skipper Thabiso Kutumela and co-attacker Bongokuhle Hlongwane nominated for a total of three individual awards by the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Kutumela is a candidate for PSL Footballer of the Season and DStv Premiership Player’s Player of the Season.
