Young skipper Phendulani “Phepsi” Buthelezi will lead the Sharks when they start their United Rugby Championship (URC) journey in Europe next week.

The Durban-based franchise left South Africa for Ireland with a squad of 34 players for the much-anticipated URC tournament starting on Friday.

The competition pits four local rugby franchises — which are Sharks, Bulls, Stormers and the Lions; against top teams from Ireland — Wales, Scotland, and Italy.
