Last weekend’s golfing action was superb from a South African perspective, with a combination of top and runners-up finishes; and the leading professionals again have opportunities on various tours from Thursday.

Few would have put some of their hard-earned moola on the prospect of young Garrick Higgo triumphing in Spain, Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel coming second in the United States of America, and Brandon Stone winning in Limpopo simultaneously, but that’s what happened.
