The Sharks went into Friday’s encounter against Griquas in Kimberley with the knowledge that a bonus-point victory was desperately needed to keep them in the hunt for the new Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked crown.

Sean Everitt’s side also knew it was not an impossible target despite Griquas enjoying home advantage for this penultimate round of fixtures in the post-lockdown competition at Tafel Lager Park.
