Maritzburg United will have to do without an injured Bongokuhle Hlongwane, seen here challenged by Bloemfontein Celtics’ Siphelele Luthuli during their Nedbank Cup Last 16 match.

Maritzburg United will again be without striker Bongokuhle Hlongwane for a midweek programme that generally touches on the relegation dogfight and top-eight battle in the DStv Premiership.

Hlongwane did not travel at the weekend when Maritzburg went down 1-0 to Tshakhuma in Limpopo because of an ankle injury picked up in his side’s 3-2 win over Golden Arrows at home last Wednesday.

The club said on Monday that the Pietermaritzurg-born attacker has not recovered yet and will miss Wednesday’s clash with Cape Town City in the Mother City.
