Ernst Middendorp gesticulates at his players.

It is the last throw of the dice and Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp will be looking for a “more active” performance from his men when they sign off the DStv Premiership season against cock-a-hoop AmaZulu at Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday.

Middendorp did not hesitate to admit that his team’s showing in their 2-0 loss to SuperSport United in Pretoria on Wednesday lacked commitment and was not what should be “presented at PSL level”.

But he, nevertheless, hopes they will seek to finish this very challenging 2020/21 campaign of theirs on a high note in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on home turf on Saturday afternoon.
