Maritzburg United have officially parted company with several players and assistant coach Delron Buckley as part of a much-needed rebuilding exercise that could see as many as 10 new men hired before the new season.

Club boss Farook Kadodia revealed several squad developments on Monday and said there are bound to be further movements ahead of the 2021/22 campaign’s envisaged start in the middle of August.

New Zealand-born Daniel Morgan, fellow defender Kwanda Mngonyama and goalkeeper Jethren Barr have been released by the local DStv Premiership outfit, while Serbian-born right-back Dusan Stevic has been placed on transfer but is also likely to be shipped out for free because of a lack of demand.
