The millions of Premier Soccer League (PSL) followers around the country may well agree that this has been a fairly peculiar season so far, and not only because of what Covid-19 has done to the sports scene here and around the globe.

While there’s nothing unusual about star-laden Sundowns leading the DStv-sponsored league, it appears that the ownership changes and money issues at some clubs, along with either surprisingly fantastic or atrocious results for a number of teams, as well as a few others seemingly not being able to get going without their fans present, have helped create the untypical happenings.

The goings-on have certainly been very different to what most supporters would have predicted before the season began in October.
