When a team’s performance and result are equally good, there is little for the coach to complain about and much confidence to take into the next assignment.

So it was for Maritzburg United tactician Ernst Middendorp at the weekend when he witnessed his relegation-threatened side score a deserved 2-0 win over TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership in Nelspruit.

This was their fourth match without loss — a win on either side of two draws — and successful revenge for Galaxy surprising them badly in the first round when the rookies were still finding their feet in the top flight at Harry Gwala Stadium.
