A knee injury has ruled out Maritzburg United star Jose Ali Meza for up to 10 months.

Maritzburg United star Jose Ali Meza has been ruled out for up to 10 months, giving the club an untimely setback in their relegation campaign in the DStv Premiership.

This comes after the in-form attacker suffered a knee injury during the first half of Maritzburg’s 2-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates in the league in Johannesburg on Sunday night.

ACL ligament damage has been diagnosed and major recuperation is needed, the local club said on Wednesday.
