Hurley's stalker strikes again

London - A stalker who has besieged Liz Hurley's London home in the past is back on her doorstep, as the model and actress prepares to have her first child, Britain's Daily Mail reported on Wednesday after its investigative team had confronted the man.

Petar Mihalovic (33) was holding a vigil outside Hurley's home in South Kensington, amid signs her confinement was imminent, the newspaper said. He had also pushed a letter through her door.

Although there was no sign of Hurley (36) herself, the arrival of several members of her family on Tuesday evening had prompted speculation that the baby, whose father is reputed to be US millionaire Steve Bing, was due, the Mail said.

Confronted by the Mail reporters on Tuesday, the "scruffy-looking" Mihalovic delivered a "rambling and non-sensical rant", in which he denied that Hurley was pregnant.

"It is all newspaper lies. They don't know what they are talking about. She is not pregnant," he said in what the Mail described as a French accent.

Mihalovic said he had returned to Britain recently from California via France.

London police arrested Mihalovic last year after being alerted by Hurley's former partner, the actor Hugh Grant, to letters delivered to her address urging her to "get rid of" the baby.

Police said Mihalovic had been cautioned on December 10 but not formally charged. - Sapa-DPA
