What will be will be - Adeline

2010-10-10 23:06
Cape Town - Idols fans in the Mother City finally had their chance to see their favourite Idols in person.

The six Idols finalists - Jan Hoogendyk (aka Elvis Blue), Boki Ntsime, Lloyd Cele, Adeline Mocke, Sindi Nene and Pieter West - met their fans and signed autographs at the Canal Walk shopping centre on Sunday.

The visit was part of their campaign to win votes.

"Usually we only take the last two finalists to the various cities, but since there are six finalists left, we decided to do it now," said Ingrid Engelbrecht of M-Net.

They flew from Durban to Cape Town, and after their meet-and-greet with the fans at Canal Walk, they flew back to Johannesburg on the same day.

Adeline Mocke might get less flack from now on.

Men's magazine FHM recently launched an Adeline fan club with the slogan: "Don't hate her 'cos she's gorgeous". According to FHM, this is because people seemingly don't take her seriously because she's pretty. Mocke responded to the FHM campaign by saying: "It's wonderful that they're backing me. I'm grateful, and it's a huge honour that FHM is supporting me."

Mocke has posed for FHM several times.

Mocke and Sindi Nene are the bottom two finalists this week after Nene was saved by the judges last week.

"It's very stressful and I've been in the bottom two before, but what will be will be," Mocke said.

"I'm glad I got another chance. I've always wanted to be one of the top five," Nene said. She also said that she's not going to stress any more and just enjoy the competition.

"Even if I don't win, I'll be satisfied, because I have gained a lot of exposure and fans."

Viewers will find out who has been voted out this week on Tuesday night.
