Berlin - Thirty-two teams have qualified for the 2006 World Cup finals which take place in Germany from June 9 - July 9.

World Cup appearances: 6 (1954, 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002)

World Cup best: Semi-finals (2002)

Asian Cup champions: 2 (1956, 1960)

Fifa world ranking: 30

Odds: 150/1

Coach: Dick Advocaat

The third Dutch coach to be employed by the South Koreans in recent years, following in the footsteps of the hugely successful Guus Hiddink and the not-so successful Jo Bonfrere.

Despite only taking over nine months ago, Advocaat has already improved the mood of the camp, and the players have responded to his communicative management style.

Led Holland to 1994 World Cup quarter-finals and Euro 2004 semis.

Key player: Park Ji-Sung

One of the heroes of South Korea's 2002 World Cup campaign, the left-sided midfielder has enhanced his reputation in the four years since with successful spells at PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United.

A livewire presence down both flanks, Park has revelled in Advocaat's decision to switch to an attacking 4-3-3 formation.
