Berlin - Thirty-two teams have qualified for the 2006 World Cup finals which take place in Germany from June 9 - July 9.

TOGO

Honours:

World Cup appearances: 0

Fifa world ranking: 59

Odds: 350/1

Coach: Otto Pfister

A respected figure across the continent after more than a quarter of a century's experience coaching in Africa, Pfister was the logical choice to take over following the divisive reign of Nigerian Stephen Keshi.

Pfister began coaching in Africa in 1976, when in charge of Rwanda and his entire career has been spent on the continent save for two years when he was involved by Saudi Arabia.

The 2006 World Cup will be his first finals.

Key player: Emmanuel Adebayor

With lightning pace, excellent ball retention, elusive dribbling and an eye for goal, it is not difficult to see why Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger swooped to sign the Togolese striker from Monaco in January.

A fractious relationship with former Togo coach Stephen Keshi boiled over at the African Nations Cup when Adebayor was accused of behaving like a 'cry-baby'. But it was Keshi who ended up getting the sack.
