New Sport24... New RSS feeds

2008-10-01 09:01 has arrived!

The site has been around for about a year and a half, but initially part of a the portal, the design was governed by the portal's look and feel, and the breaking news came directly from our big brother, News24.

Now the day has now come for the pimply teenager to ditch the Clearasil and head out into the big bad world on it's own.

But this is not a break away from News24 by any stretch of the imagination. They are the undisputed kings of breaking news, so all this move does is allow them to concentrate on what they do best, and give us an opportunity to offer you, the reader, a little more. All that will happen is that the relationship will change a little in that it will now be Sport24 providing News24 with their breaking sports news, meaning that when you open a sport story on News24, you will open it on Sport24, which will then offer you a richer sports content environment.

It also means that we have a new RSS sport feed for you to plug into your feed readers and personalised home pages. That being

Apologies for this taking such a long time to happen, but an inordinate amount of technical gremlins chose to strut their stuff over the launch period. So please use the above feed, and feel free to visit for your breaking sports news, along with other RSS feeds, which we will add as the gremlins take their half time quarter orange.
