Cape Town - Fijian and Western Province star, Sireli Naqelevuki, has been suspended from all levels of rugby after testing positive for the use of cannabis.

According to fijivillage.com, Naqelevuki - who had hoped to secure a Stormers contract for the 2007 Super 14 tournament commencing on February 2 - tested positive for cannabis following the IRB Sevens tournament in George last year.

Naqelevuki has since admitted to the IRB's anti-doping council that he had used marijuana prior to the George event as well.

The 26-year-old Fijian wing is now waiting to be summoned for another hearing by the IRB judicial committee which will determine his fate.

Under IRB regulations, Naqelevuki will face a suspension of between two and three years and could be banned from playing rugby for life.
