Johannesburg - A 25-man squad of locally based players was on Friday named by Bafana Bafana soccer coach Carlos Queiroz as part of the preparations for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia on 16 December.

The squad, which comprises mostly uncapped players, will go on a three-day camp in Zurich, Switzerland, starting on Monday.

Among those included in the team is new Moroka Swallows midfield sensation Sibusiso Mazibuko and his partner in the team, Sisa Nombe.

The duo will be looking to make the same impact they have so far managed to create at Swallows.

Also included in the team are Ria Stars number one goalkeeper, Abram Khwenenyane, Sipho Ndzuzo of Manning Rangers, SuperSport's United Raymond Seopa, Free State Stars' Duncan Lechesa.

For the overseas camp, coach Quieroz has named 18 players instead of the 19 he initially said he would call up. The missing player will be captain Lucas Radebe, who has not yet fully recovered from his injuries.

The Zurich camp will run from 13-15 November and the squad will also play a friendly against Grasshoppers, one of Switzerland's biggest teams.

The last and third camp will be held in Johannesburg at the FNB Stadium.

This will be from 11-16 December and will come soon after the the coach announces his final team, on 7 December to take on Liberia.

The squad of 20 players will then camp until they take on the Liberians.

The local squad is also without Sundowns, Hellenic and Kaizer Chiefs players, except for Jabu Pule, who is on suspension because of a red card he was shown in the league match against Jomo Cosmos.

"We did not want to disturb these teams' busy schedules, so we decided to let them keep their players and only included Jabu Pule because he is on suspension," said the coach.

"These squads consist of the best players we have in the country and overseas and these are the players we are going to build the team from and take us to the 2002 African Cup of Nations," said Queiroz.
