A Message Of Brotherhood to A Wandering Rebel

2015-12-22 04:20

To whom it may concern:

The objective here is not to place the man on the stand, or to make him feel encroached like a specimen in a test tube. But in blunt terms, the objective is to bring one another up to speed with each other, about each other.

It’s not about who is right and who is not, because judgment tends to be dependent on point of view and personal orientation. But so long as we share common space, we will need a common understanding of ethics and other things. As much as a man is free to explore his own horizons, he is equally liable to the welfare of his siblings and his environment.

A man can never be without any form of responsibility, except of course in total ignorance, when he is in rebellion. Human beings are not born independent are they, as with some species of snakes, whose offspring fend for themselves from infancy? It takes two committed adults to raise a human child until adulthood, when the child can now work and start their own family.

From a young age, you become aware of the interdependence of numerous errands within the cluster of human society. As a child, you are guarded and guided by your two parents, who take you to a doctor when you are ill, who play you music when you are lonely, and who take you to school for education.

This is why they say it takes a whole community to raise a child. Your parents on their own cannot do it all for you. They also play their specific roles in making up the building blocks of society through their (specific) professions. From your honourable birth, you needed the service of Medical Practitioners to deliver you. You wore clothes made by fashion designers, ate food prepared by nutritionists, rode in a car made by engineers, and slept in a home made by architects.

Almost every aspect of our human experience involves the participation and efforts of all those around us, for good or for worse. That is unless if one were to relocate altogether to a solitary location, far in the bushes like nomads. This would be the beginning of an isolated ‘hunter-gatherer’ lifestyle, where one would need to do all things by self, at all times.

Perhaps there might be a hint of adventure in the thought, based primarily as I suspect, on the stressful conditions of present confinements. The fact that there is active mismanagement taking place shouldn’t be cause to condemn the whole establishment altogether. But if a man thinks he may thrive alone then let him not involve or use others. Let him separate himself and become a wanderer, to exploit his freedom to the point of extinction.

But so long as we live together as society, we will need to cooperate, to maintain common respect, and to prosper collectively. As soon as we compose tunes of imbalance we create a discord within the field of play, and there cannot be progress in this regard. No matter how cunning, opulent or valiant an idea may be; if it’s not founded on common growth then it is fruitless.

In this respect, certain men have used either intellect or militancy (or both) to satisfy gross inclinations of their own fancy. Through continuous misguidance, they have developed a sweet taste for hurt, heartbreak and even death. They have become like a violent cancer in the society, and in generating dead vibes, they infect those around them horribly.

But the worst of the matter is the judgment of these corrupted men by those who should know better. Those who send energies of hatred on these lost rebels are merely pouring petroleum on an already raging flame. Those who condemn the gothic vandal without compassionate concern are themselves lost and confused.

But in recognising the anatomy of human nature, you realise the network (interconnection) that binds all human souls together. Every criminal comes from a family, and all families are connected. The crimes of one man affect not only the victim, but all society in general. When one man burns, the entire community feels the heat, so to speak.

For ancient Christians to have prized idioms like ‘love your enemy’ and ‘love your neighbour as yourself’ only suggests they had socially come to full terms with both extremes of human potential and their specific outcomes. Forgive, that you may be forgiven, they taught.

So rather than conceive an eternal destiny of opposite realms of peace and turmoil for humanity (heaven & hell), realise we all move in one direction, the only difference being others are ahead and others behind. In so saying, we can and should help one another where possible.

But shame on they who are trailing far behind, but yet ironically proclaim they are better developed or more advanced. They still have a long way to go, in other words.
