A Prayer For Prophets, Snakes & Chocolates

2015-07-20 08:21

Deception or Divine?

Heavenly father,

Creator of prophets, even though some are false prophets,

Creator of snakes, even though it’s a Chinese delicacy today,

Creator of chocolates, even though the Swiss think otherwise,

The voice of truth echoes across South Africa,

People are hungry for spiritual freedom,

But the deception of pastors and prophets reigns.

Church members are abused, manipulated and given snakes and petrol for breakfast and lunch,

The church has transformed from a hospital for sinners into a den of robbers, called “men of God”,

We have so many stupid christians, we need smart christians,

We have so many stupid prophets, we need smart prophets.

People’s desire for healing, emotional freedom, disengagement from generational curses, quest for prosperity has driven them into the hands of some conmen called prophets,

Some prophets are creating their own Nkandla. So we call out to you to help us discern the times like the sons of Issachar, Trusting in you only for whatever we desire. Emancipate us from our lack of knowledge, a clear indication that we have bibles but don’t read them. Thus, the church has become an e-toll to heaven. Bless those who are truthfully seeking for you.

Grant them favour and grace,

Strength and peace.

May our purpose in life remain righteous

And our vision focused on the cross.

Bring an end to the rule of magicians called prophets in SA.

Expose them, humiliate them, convict them, help us to not tolerate them and quench their desire for fame and fortune,

So that the church would play its role as a fighter of spiritual and social injustices.

Bless the church with wisdom and compassion,

To give meaning to redemption and grace.

Let honorable churches provide truth that exalts a nation,

We bless you, God of South Africa,

You commissioned us to set the captives free,

Show justice and oppose the reign of false prophets.

So Lord, show us true prophets in our churches, keep the snakes in the zoo and help us to add some romance in our relationship with chocolates.

Ngiyabonga ubaba.

In the name of Jesus.
