A warning to black people in America: Don’t vote for Hillary Clinton

2016-11-06 12:14

It’s a tough time for Americans as they have to choose their next president on Tuesday; after eight years of the disastrous Barack Obama. Tough in the sense that they have to choose between two horrible candidates, one more a corrupt machine, and the other more vulgar. They are in a situation where they have to choose between the vulgar Donald Trump who will be bad, and the corrupt machine Hillary Clinton who will be disastrous.

Amongst the minorities who have to make a choice on Tuesday is the black community, African-Americans. They, like all other Americans, will be choosing between bad and disastrous. I believe they should not vote for disastrous Hillary Clinton because what she stands for has destroyed the black community over the past 55 years.

When you look at the African-American history starting way back from the days of slavery, to this present moment, you find that nothing has caused as much destruction to the black family as the welfare state introduced in the 1960s. Nothing. The black family survived slavery, Jim Crow laws, and other harshest racism practices of the 19th and the early 20th century. But it could not survive the welfare state advanced by Hillary Clinton and those of her ilk.

By 1960, only 22% of black children were raised without a father. That number rose after the welfare state. Today, more than 70% of black children are raised without a father in America. Clearly, President Lyndon B. Johnson’s landmark destructive achievement, the introduction of a welfare state aimed at equalizing outcomes instead of equalizing opportunity, had very much to do with this. Hillary Clinton’s political agenda, aims to advance this welfare state - which will further destroy the black family.

The absence of fathers in homes is one of the major contributors to shockingly high crime rates in black communities in America; evidence by author of a remarkable new book, titled The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe, Heather Mac Donald, shows.

Blacks account for more than 50% of homicides in America. In her book, Heather writes that blacks commit more than 75% of homicides in Chicago, despite accounting for 35% of the city’s population. Blacks also account for almost 80% of juvenile arrests. Whites, who account for just less than 30% of the city’s population commit less than 5% of homicides and less than 4% of juvenile arrests. Black crime is shockingly high compared to any racial group in America. The statistics are as shocking for other cities as well; not just Chicago. Troubling, isn’t it?

Crime is a serious problem in black communities in America. While Donald Trump has been honest and pointed out this problem, Hillary Clinton has been dishonest and doesn’t tell the truth, for political motives of course.

Some cite economic struggles as the cause of crime amongst blacks in America. They are wrong. Black crime rates were lower in the 1940s and 1950s, when black poverty was higher and racial discrimination was rampant and legal. Crime skyrocketed after the introduction of the welfare state in 1960s; the same welfare state supported by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party. It has never gone back to pre-welfare state levels ever since.

Heather, one of my favourite intellectuals, says that you can draw a straight line between family breakdown and youth violence. That assertion and her research on crime in America, is very important in understanding the challenges faced by the black community.

What is very disheartening is that instead of reinforcing trust in police amongst Americans, Clinton has rather chose to hound the police and brand them racist against minorities – which is of course not true when you objectively look at the data. Police go to where there is crime. If most 911 calls come from a community that happens to be largely black, the police must go there and restore order. The circumstances, regardless of whether the community is black or white forces the police to be present to maintain law and order. The police must do their work.

Because of the demonization of police by people like Hillary Clinton, innocent law-abiding blacks continue to suffer from deadly violence, as police are being held back from confronting violent criminals. How sad, for the lives lost every week across the United States.

Hillary also supports minimum wage laws. These are the laws that have destroyed black youth employment in America over the past seventy years. Before there were mandated minimum wage laws, that took effect in late 1930s, black youth unemployment rate hovered around 9%; lower than white youth unemployment by almost 1%. Over the past decades, black youth unemployment rose; today it hovers around 50%, if you include those who are not looking for or have given up looking for employment.

The rise in unemployment has had a huge negative impact on the black youth in America, and it’s unacceptable, because it could have been avoided. Yet Hillary Clinton wants the minimum wage pushed up to $15 an hour. Puzzling, right?

Just as here in South Africa, where President Jacob Zuma and his party, the African National Congress (ANC), have allied with teacher unions such as the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) that oppose private-public partnerships in public schools, Hillary Clinton and her Democratic Party, have allied with teacher unions that strongly oppose the expansion of charter schools in America. How damaging. Charter schools remain one of the very few places where the black youth can receive a quality education that will bring them a better future.

For the past eight years Hillary and her friend, Barack Obama, have peddled lies that women earn less than men because of some form of gender discrimination in the workplace. But data shows that the earnings of the people with the same qualifications, same number of hours, same positions, same experience, are generally equal, or very much close to equal, regardless of their gender. Black people again are negatively impacted like most Americans by this false toxic political rhetoric.

The reason why Clinton and Obama propagate the “gender pay gap” lie is because they want to advance the same welfare state that has caused destruction to black communities. And of course it wins them votes and makes them look like caring politicians, when in fact they are not.

After the death of Chief Justice Antonin Scalia of the Supreme Court of the United States of America this year, black peoples’ liberty and other peoples’ liberty in America is under threat from Hillary Clinton.

As President of the United States, if she becomes President of the United States, Hillary Clinton will be tasked with appointing at least one Justice to the Supreme Court. It could be two or three. She’s made it very clear that she wants someone who’ll overturn the recent Supreme Court decision, “Citizens United versus FEC”.

This decision said that corporations and labour unions have freedom of speech, including the right to contribute money toward political campaigns. And it was a sane, right decision. If you and I form a group by a certain name, and rally behind a presidential candidate, what is wrong with that?

Who does Hillary Clinton thinks she is that she thinks we shouldn’t do that? She clearly wants to violate freedom of speech and liberty. That is how dangerous Hillary Clinton is to America’s freedom. But of course The Economist that endorsed her this week, and other media houses will not tell you this.

The fate of America’s liberty in the next decades or a generation will be in the Supreme Court, not in the White House. Whoever will be in the White House will be there for four years, and could be impeached. But the Supreme Court is a fifteen, twenty, thirty, perhaps even a generation problem. Hillary Clinton’s harm to America’s constitutional law will be long lasting and severe. To me as a believer in liberty, that is unacceptable.

Donald Trump is bad for America, but Hillary Clinton will be more disastrous. Trump dislikes free trade, and that’s bad of him. He’s been vulgar, offensive and sometimes unhinged, and that again is bad of him. But at least he wants to save the Supreme Court from people like Hillary Clinton, and he has surrounded himself with people like Rudy Giuliani, the economist Stephen Moore, Dr. Ben Carson, Mike Pence and others. These are people who are honest about the challenges faced by the black community and America at large. They will, at least to an extent, put him on the right track.

As imperfect as Trump is, he has acknowledged that there has to be a restoration of law and order accross America, especially in black communities where crime is more rife. Yes he does flip flop on some issues such as the minimum wage; but faced with a choice between someone who flip flops on an issue, and someone like Clinton, who you know for sure will cause harm, who would you choose? I'd choose someone who flip flops because I know there's a chance to convince that person.

With Hillary Clinton as president the black community will continue to suffer, in fact everybody in America will face a tougher time. Their freedom to bear and keep arms and participate in political campaigns within the bounds of the law will be crippled.

Yes Americans will suffer under Trump too; but at least under Trump there will still be the Supreme Court to protect their freedoms. In Clinton’s world the Supreme Court will be suppressing freedoms. That’s very, very scary.
