An exasperated patriot's letter to President Zuma

2015-12-10 18:59

Permit me to share a letter a young exasperated  patriot with entrepreneurial zeal penned to President Zuma out of sheer frustration following the ouster of Nhlanhla Nene from the Ministry of Finance.

The words are not mine. Neither am I the author of this potent letter this young concerned patriot asked me to share under condition that I protect his identity. Because I endorse what this young man has to say, I unequivocally submit this on my blog.

" Dear President Zuma,

The suddenness, lack of any reason, and appointment of an unknown, Des Van Rooyen, obviously a political appointment as Minister of Finance has destroyed any confidence I as a small business owner have had in your leadership.

There is now no way we as SA will afford the 0% fee increase for Universities next year.

All those businesses like mine who planning to employ youth will now hold off doing so.

We have gone from two of the most well respected Finance Ministers in the world, to an unknown within 2 years!

I think the time has come for a radical change in the leadership of government.

I foresee students moving on from #feesmustfall calling for your fall rather than free education.

If we were finding out way out of an electricity, water, drought, SABC, SAA, plus other crises, we seem to have dived straight into yet another disaster!

Who are your advisors? What would possess any of them to agree that this was a good idea? How secure does the rest of your quite bloated cabinet feel? How logical was this 4 months before municipal elections?

The ANC needs to act quickly or face a much bigger rebellion among the youth. "

Maybe it's time for

#RecallZuma or pretty soon any remaining ANC credibility will be gone."

The foregoing should be out there as it raises pertinent frustrations that exasperates us all.I endorse the contents of this letter.
