Another Neoliberal Corporation (ANC)

2015-12-22 19:48

Any self-respecting South African can see the realities of our faux democracy.

It has been a good two decades for those affiliated with The African National Congress, their pockets run deep and there is plenty to spend at the expense of South Africans. If anything; as a person interested in making money in South Africa you must breathe ANC propaganda through and through, or run the risk of being labeled a racist if you are white, anti-black or a traitor if you’re black and seen as a threat to their hard earned “democracy” if your views don’t align with “Working together we can be corrupt more”.

I will probably be labeled anti-whatever after this article and it is a robe I am willing to wear proudly borrowed or not.

The recent findings on SADTU cash for jobs fiasco further prove the nepotism that is a challenge in South Africa, SADTU a known affiliate of Congress of Thieves has come under fire and has distanced itself from the entire issue, which does not come as a surprise. If anything it will be internal investigations, some parliamentary task team that will dance in a dark corner with no musical instruments and bring a report of no findings.

Corruption has become a South African crime of passion and the law has adjusted to it for some ‘unknown reason’ (presidential overreach).

Stirring up social unrest (The Spear) or the Apartheid legacy is the defense of the ANC through any situation. A broken record played to insult the people of this country. Not to seem to sing praises of the Botha’s and Verwoerd’s. Apartheid has a legacy but not one where Jan Van Riebeeck whispers “Give the tender to the comrade as opposed to the person with the right qualifications for the job”.

With Zuma The Incompetent at the helm the underhanded awarding of jobs, tenders and even bursaries has a crippling effect on our economy and with accountability dormant in his term in office it does little to address the increasing civil unrest in South Africa which is promulgated by the hands off approach when it comes to dealing with the biggest legacy of apartheid inequality across all spectrums of our fragile society.

I have come to the conclusion that the ANC is well aware of the direction our country is taking and for them they are saving themselves first. If it were the Titanic, Zuma and his staff would be safe and sound while the rest of the country sinks slowly in icy cold water. Corporate presence in South Africa has increased and thank the likes of Tokyo Sexwale and Cyril Ramaphosa who seem to have benefited from it handsomely. South Africa a long serving sub-imperial power of the Commonwealth is at the fore front of colonizing the minds of South Africans and African alike..

The ANC oversaw the transition to democracy and we are not wrong when we direct our cries and complaints to them. I mean it only makes sense to do so. The ANC has taken seat and the lapdog it is to Trans National Corporations has watched the privileged continue to take the little that poor South Africans have.
