Aspiring to the culture of Unity

2015-01-09 10:39

It has been a year with many tragedies, we have experienced many casualties from all over the world. I want to give my sincere apologies to the readers for being quite for sometime, I have been busy traveling to Zimbabwe and Lesotho doing Research for my book entitled the “Roots” which is due to be released this year during the Arts Festival in Grahamstown. It is quite interesting since it traces the origins of African People, both Black and White in the African continent. It depicts on the migration of Black tribes to the Southern point of Africa and the arrival of White People in the Cape Colony. The culture and heritage left behind by our ancestors, which has built this Rainbow Nation since the advent of democracy. The book portrays that all races can be traced back to Africa and that all races come from the same genetic ancestry, regardless of the colour of the skin.

South Africa has a unique culture that we all need to embrace, regardless of political affiliation. It is the reason we all need to respect each other whether you belong to the ANC; the DA or the EFF, we all share the same genetic ancestry and we all belong to this continent. It is the reason that we all need to stand united, especially at this time of terror attacks. This country needs to stand united against all forces of evil, that seem to try to take over, like the Domestic Violence; Children and Woman abuse; Racial Violence; Political intolerance; violence against our Police, and but not least Freedom of Speech.

I want to give thanks to the person who mostly assisted me in my endeavours, Mr. Adrian Gardiner who sincerely gave himself to support my cause without reservation, which shows that irrespective of the colour of the skin we can work together to achieve our goals. It is time that South African People stop complaining and work towards the unity of this country. It is then we shall prosper and defeat the scourges that seem to destroy the fiber of our Nation, “iSizwe sethu” ONE NATION ONE AFRICA!!!
