DA is selling out whites

2013-11-11 21:53

If white South Africans thought they were sold out and betrayed by FW De Klerk they have not seen anything yet with what the Democratic Alliance (DA) under the leadership of Helen Zille has in store for them. Like any other political party around the world the DA is power hungry and tired of playing second after the ANC. The DA is desperately trying to position itself as the new ANC-lite in order to attract the lucrative so called “black African vote.” It is out to get black votes but at what cost to white South Africans?

The DA has reached a ceiling with the traditional support base of white liberals. They have learned that in order to attract black Africans they need more than a madam dancing to Brenda Fassies songs; learning to toy-toy and giving away free T-shirts. The DA has learned that they need tangible redress policies and practical programmes that mirror those of the ANC. Last month the opposition party voted in favour of the Employment Equity Bill, the draft law that aims to regulate demographic representativity in the workplace. This is clear proof that the opposition party is changing some of its historical positions on affirmative action and BEE among others.

The DA has realised that even if all whites in SA voted for them they would still not shake the ANC’s 66% majority. Helen Zille has realised that it is ONLY the black vote that can break the 66% ANC share and not necessarily the white vote. Helen Zille is well aware that the white minority vote will not win them any elections. She is also aware that fighting against ANC policies in order to appease white South Africans will not gain them any favours with the black majority.

The DA is trying to be the sun and the moon at the same time to both blacks and whites. It is surely lying to someone, white South Africans stand to bleed the most.  I am  not a Freedom Front Plus (FF+) supporter but I personally respect a party like FF+ because they stay true to their values and truly represent the people who voted for them. However racist those views maybe, they do not try to create smokes and mirrors of a non-racial utopia that does not exist which the DA is creating. What guarantee do you have as a white South African that the DA will cater to your needs and look after your interests after you have voted for them in 2014 general elections? The writing is on the wall, the DA has become an ANC-lite and promises to implement ANC policies just in a "more efficient manner" whatever that means!

Whites should vote for representation in parliament and sadly the DA will not be doing that since it plans to get rid of some of the experienced white MPs after the 2014 general elections. White South Africans are less than 10% of the population; therefore there  is no way that whites could ever win an election to regain power in South Africa. This is the reality that whites have to deal with. The FF+ is on the verge of extinction in parliament with only four seats and once FF+ is gone there is no assurance that there will be a “white voice” in parliament since the DA plans to adapt ANC policies and outperform them when it comes to implementation. Once the FF+ collapses and loses its seats in parliament whites will never get another seat, another voice, another party representing the white population in parliament ever again if whites decide to put all their eggs in the DA=ANC-lite’s basket. Mmusi Maimane and Lindiwe Mazibuko will be calling the shots in parliament as they continue to throttle each other to take over the madam's position.

Even Tony Leon is lamenting the direction which the DA is heading towards. The DA has been bending over backward and singing from different hymn sheets to appease both white and black voters. Whites stand to suffer the most as blacks have the ANC and EFF to “save” them. What do you as a white South African have to fall back on when the DA has sold out after you have given them your vote?
