Fictitious nature of the Islamic State (ISIS).

2015-06-28 05:03

Some recent news articles are really showing the fictitious nature of the Islamic State (ISIS). For example I read in an article that ISIS is reportedly “giving away female sex slaves to followers who master the Koran”.

According to news reports the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) and the Clarion Project, two independent research institutes that track social media accounts linked to terrorist groups, ISIS made the announcement on Twitter at the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

Although there are many virtuous and great reward for memorizing the Quran and millions of Muslims around the world, even young ones, have committed the entire Quran to memory, but the shocking practice of giving away human beings as prizes by ISIS is truly unacceptable and un-Islamic.

This absurd and strange method of encouragement really exposes the un-Islamic nature of ISIS.

Whether this story is credible or not, girls that have escaped from ISIS strongholds have horror stories to relate. Terrible abuse stories of young girls in Iraq and Syria and girls being raped by ISIS fighters have been reported by many credible news outlets and human rights organisations.

Sadly, many religious followers have been duped into practices alien to their respective religions by charlatans.

In these days of moral chaos and corruption, followers should not blindly follow their religious leaders. They need to distinguish between the fake and genuine religious scholars.

Sermons should be critically analysed to see if it is from the divine scriptures or from the biased and self-serving interpretation of the religious preacher.

Similarly, I am also concerned with how a small but dangerously misguided group of people are so easily willing to kill in the name of Islam.

The wave of terror attacks that hit France, Kuwait and Tunisia are an absolute betrayal of the principles, values and teachings of the Quran and the blessed traditions of the Prophet (PBUH).

The taking of even one innocent life is a great crime in Islam equated to killing the whole of humanity.

Agreed, for various reasons many Muslims are unhappy with the foreign policies of some countries and some are even upset and disappointed with their own leaders in the Middle East, but this does not mean that they should express their anger through violent and destructive means.

Regrettably, somehow charismatic leaders have convinced them into this violent behaviour to solve their grievances.

In this regard the Quran vehemently warns against following impostors who claim the cloak of holiness but who, in reality, cause corruption and sow mischief on earth.
