Jacob Zuma is 100 times more the man Malema is.

A friend of mine who I assumed is Julius Malema’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) foot soldier DM(ed) me on twitter asking what I think about EFF’s policy. We exchanged replies and the 140 character limit of twitter was a blocker to what I really think about EFF.

I hope she will find time to read this blog and see what I really think.

Firstly, EFF does not have its own policies; instead it copied and pasted ANCYL’s policies which are directly drawn from the freedom charter. In simple terms, Floyd Shivambu and Malema stole ANC policies and made them their own.

There is a lot I can say about Malema and his party but the first obvious one is that he is not to be trusted by anyone; not even his close friends. Malema changes his mind like the Cape Town sky changes its weather.

Who would forget when Malema stood in front of the country through the Media he always excites telling us that Thabo Mbeki was this country’s biggest problem? Mbeki was casted by him, called names and made an enemy of the people.

Not even four years after that we were told by the same man that Thabo Mbeki was the greatest man that ever lived. He worshipped him and thanked him for what he achieved in his administration simply because of his hate for Jacob Zuma.

Jacob Zuma a man he confessed his love for was later said to be the worst leader this country ever had and our biggest mistake; a man he (Malema) was made to believe by his friends and the Media to have put in power in the Polokwane.

I simply cannot trust Malema because he changes his mind like a child in a toy-store.

The Media and some within the ANCYL during his tenure made his head big. They made  believe that he made Jacob Zuma. That he gave Jacob Zuma to us South Africans making him our president. Thus he now through the same Media that made his head big he now apologize  for giving us Jacob Zuma.

Julius Malema did not give us Jacob Zuma; Jacob Zuma gave himself to us the people. Zuma gave himself to South Africa when he joined the ANC at the age of 16 and later became an active member of the ANC’s armed wing Umkhonto Wesizwe at the age of 22.

Zuma continued to hand himself to the ANC and South Africa when he was arrested in 1963 and sent to Robben Island where he was to spend the following 10 years. He selflessly re-established ANC underground structures in Natal between 1974 and 1975.

Zuma continued to hand himself to the ANC and South Africa when he worked hand in hand with Thabo Mbeki in Swaziland and Mozambique exiled by the apartheid government later healing the wounds of the Soweto Uprising youth of 1976 that were taking refuge in those countries in 1976.

The following year in 1976 Jacob Zuma handed himself to the ANC National Excecutive Committee. In 1980 Zuma further deepened his commitment to the organisation and headed the ANC’s Intelligence Department. Julius Malema would later be born in 1981; 23 years after Jacob Zuma joined and worked for the ANC.

Julius Malema’s contribution to the liberation struggle would later be illegally taking down National Party (NP) posters in the 1994 elections. While he was taking down and tearing NP posters Jacob Zuma was working hand in hand with ANC leaders like Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki and leaders like Sisulu in the negotiations and the drafting of the South African constitution.

After the country’s first democratic election when Julius was only 14 years, Zuma became the ANC’s chairperson in 1994 and becoming the MEC for Economic Affairs and Tourism in KZN.

To get to my point; Jacob Zuma did not need Julius Malema to get the presidency of the ANC and South African government.

He has been working and earned enough credentials to get these positions since he joined the ANC from his early age of 16. This point would later be proven fact in Mangaung when Jacob Zuma won a landslide victory against Kgalema Montlante when Julius Malema was history.

Jacob Zuma is 100 times more than the man, leader and strategist Malema is.

I know, many of you will compare Jacob Zuma with Julius Malema. You will ask why complain about Malema in the Gupta and Nkandla days.

Government scandals happen everywhere; they happen in America, president Obama has his own scandals. They happen in UK, in China; all governments have their own scandals. We don’t want them, we hate them but they are there; they will always occur.

One needs to ask themselves then how many scandals would occur if Malema would become a president ?

Malema’s decision to start a political party was not based on moral or Freedom Charter grounds; it was based on his greed for power and money and his subliminal talks are a living testimony to this.

Malema was the one who said his blood is green, black and gold; that he will never leave the ANC. He was the one begging the delegate with letters in Mangaung to reconsider their decision to expel him. He is the one who promised to change.

But when his plea did not work out and his life started to turn upside down he started realising that he is poor and powerless.

On an interview in SAfm, Malema said if the ANC had not taken his farm after it took his house in Sandton and his millions he would have stayed. Only ignorant people who believe Malema when he says he left the ANC because its liberal and does not want to Nationalise mines or because he was expelled.

Malema, unlike Zuma is young; he would have made his way back to the ANC. Political parties are not like businesses, you don’t get fired and never come back. Leadership changes and so does the weather within the political party. He could have waited for his time; until when, I don’t know. I am sure Nelson Mandela too did not know how many years he would wait to get out prison.

The same followers Julius Malema has are the same he was lying to while an ANCYL president. He went to the people and shouted that “We are poor and hungry we want Economic Freedom” when he was swimming in millions.

The Economic Freedom he is now calling for is the one he lost; he was a Sandton resident, drove top class cars and wore only the finest. Malema was not hungry or poor like most of his followers were and still are; he had Economic Freedom and soon lost it.

His friends like the former jail-bird who like him went mysteriously from a centenair to a millionair Kenny Kunene will help him.

We’ve already read opportunistic open letters trying to persuade and kill the ANC’s image by Kenny Kunene. Again, the same Media that inflated Malema’s head is doing the same to Kenny.

Suddenly, he becomes a saint just few months after he confessed to raping young girls and his desires to start selling pornography.

I refuse to trust Julius Malema because I can’t imagine South Africa with him as a president and Kenny Kunene his deputy.

I don’t trust Julius because he would ruin all attempts to Unite this country and turn us into another Zimbabwe; chasing white people away, chasing investors away, ruining our economy and turning this country not in a banana but into Kenny’s Sushi Nation.

ANC and EFF are fundamentally different. Unlike EFF, the ANC is not owned by a person or a group of people. I was not owned by Nelson Mandela when he was president and was not owned by Thabo Mbeki, it’s also not owned by Jacob Zuma the people own it.

ANC leaders come and go but their support does not change; it’s a different story with EFF. Malema, Floyd and Kenny Kunene owns it not the people. It will take their directions not the people’s direction.

Again, I simply refused a spineless man like Julius Malema who says joined EFF today and might say let’s go back to the ANC when the media frenzy fades away and is dropped like COPE and UDP were.

Trusting Julius Malema for Nationalisation or Economic is like trusting or sending a rat to share cheese with cats. (NB I did not say Malema is a rat).
