Zareef Minty: Khanyi Mbau and Tebogo Lerole

Kwela Tebza has just released their new singled called Aye featuring Nigerian artist Femi Kuti and Black Motion. Tebogo how does it feel to be back in the music industry?

Tebogo: I must say it feels different as most of my peers of then time have either quit or left the music industry or rather the industry has gone fairly young. I face new challenges as the trend is on a different time zone, but looking forward to presenting something unique and different.

I believe an album is on the cards, when can your fans and the South African public expect to get their hands on the album?

Tebogo: Kwela Tebza has released the first single featuring Femi Kuti and Black Motion and two more singles to come before the album drops. "The Journey" will be released in September 2016.

Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?

Tebogo: I am on a serious mission of becoming an iconic figure and I can only achieve this by working twice as hard. This will include my entrepreneurship path, being a philanthropist for my country and my many ventures in improving myself as an individual.

What advice do you have for the South African youth?

Tebogo:They have the world at the palm of their hand and I urge the youth to seize the moment, every minute wasted is time never regained.

Katch it with Khanyi has become extremely prominent over night, South Africa loves you. How does it feel opening a new avenue and succeeding with it almost instantly?

Khanyi: It has not sunk in that such a thought piece could be such a unifying tool driven by me and loved by so many. Till this day I still cannot quantify it into words of how blessed I am.

What's next for Khanyi Mbau? Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Khanyi: Gaining access to the minds of many South Africans, as talk is such a healing remedy that serves therapy to a nation that is still devided on certain aspects.

What is your opinion on the term "Power Couple"? Are you a fan of Jay Z and Beyoncé?

Tebogo and Khanyi: "Power couple" sets an unnecessary expectation like the word "role model" it is humbling when anybody finds anything that they admire in an individual but it is unfair to place so much pressure on anybody. As no one is perfect especially being a couple.

I am a fan of Chunky and Bulky

SA's favorite couple and my favorite couple. I love the posts on Instagram and I can see that there is genuine love and respect for each other. Does the media affect your relationship in any way? How do you feel about having your relationship in the media all the time?

Tebogo and Khanyi: In the beginning love makes you want to shout out loud on the roof tops and let the world know how blessed you are to finally find your soul mate.. But as time goes on, you then want to preserve it and protect it as much as you can, so I try keep away from the media as they have a tendency of devaluing what is so precious and sacred by thinking its shared with them and yet it's really ours as in Edward and I.

How important is it to have a significant other? To you, What's the best thing about Khanyi? What's the best thing about your relationship ?

Tebogo: A significant other always resembles a true mirror of yourself and I say this because I believe that when we are in love we are attracted to our replicas not opposites, what makes us become opposites is our genders.

She possesses a rare love and has an enormous caring heart. Only the two of us matter and nothing else

How important is it to have a significant other? To you, What's the best thing about Khanyi? What's the best thing about your relationship ?

Khanyi: Having that simply gives one a sense of belonging and a tone to my existence an accent of my desires is then quantified in his human form in extension on how I see my self if I where male.  The best thing about him is his level of faithfulness he has to his family. The best thing about our union is its organic as natural as it possibly may be. Nothing forced nothing manned.

What advice do you have for the South African youth?

Khanyi: There is a saying that says " youth is wasted on the young" the sooner they collect their dreams and start planning for them, the sooner they will reach them and make ever lasting legacies and create tangible futures for themselves.

Turn tomorrow into today.

How important is networking in today's society?

Tebogo: The world has become fairly small to a point that waking up in a different continent is the new business and networking is the father of world connects.

How important is networking in today's society?

Khanyi: Networking is very important. Through that you ensure that you are in the matrix and still have the temperature of what's happening around you. A lot can happen in a month.

I have just released my first book called EMPIRE which is all about re aligning young people's mindsets, assisting them with the importance of self branding etc. What do you think about the idea of a 21 year old releasing this type of book and what do you think of the concept Of the book. Do you think it's necessary in today's society?

Tebogo and Khanyi: Literature of factual and logical guidance is rare commodity in this country and to have a 21 year old be the poster boy for that is marvelous and very courageous as not many men at your age consider such but value a turn up more.

Would you individually or separately be releasing a book in the near future?

Khanyi: I have written a book and I am nearing a major milestone so another book is in order yes.
