Media complicity in Gaza genocide

Dangerous Developments

Its Ramadaan all over the Muslim world, including Palestine, especially Gaza, the world's largest gulag that the Israeli defence force is pounding away and killing Muslims who are fasting and who are by all account civilian casualties. We in SA who rid the country of apartheid and who are able to subsist and worship in peace and harmony are crying out in anger and frustration that no country on earth has the guts to stand up at the UN and condemn Israel just as India did vis-a-vis apartheid SA.

At the time of posting this, operation "protective edge" claimed over 125 human beings , all civilians mostly children, who have died directly as a result of targetted bombings by the Israeli air force and if one scanned the news media, both local and international one gets a one-sided story that pictures Gazans as unworthy of pity or compassion.

Despite the horror on the ground we see and read one side of the story. We are told that "Israeli air defence intercepts more rockets as fighting continues" or "Israel and Hamas exchange fire". We hear buzz words like 'terrorists.

Nothing of the struggle of civilians trying to live another day in the world's largest gulag, Gaza. No one is spared. Not even that Gazan who wants to perform his taraweeh prayer, after breaking fast, in the nearby mosque.

Well I really cannot expect more from the media,I guess, which works as stenographers for the zionist controlled media houses. I know that there are decent and compassionate human beings reading this. And I expect the usual crude commentators bereft of compassion and whose lapsed humanity will undoubtedly unleash their bile in the comment column. Even so, I shan't remain silent.

Lets analyse how the White House frames the issues at play. A recent briefing condemned the rocket attacks from Gaza but said nothing of the indiscriminate murder of innocent children and parents as the IDF launched attacks and offloaded bombs over recreational facilities. That spokesperson supported Israel's "right to defend itself".....

Lets pause a while here. 'defend itself ' against who or what? What started this all? When Fatah and Hamas agreed to form a unity government that was when the attacks were planned against Hamas led Gaza.

I was gobsmacked to listen to Mr Netanyahu calling people to "act responsibly". Err , I must be living in the twilight zone here. His 'act responsibly' entails killing of children and civilians. The collective punishment of an entire population is the opposite and so is the asymmetrical mayhem that sees people, who are fasting ( after all this is Ramadaan) and who are tying to perform their evening prayers unable to do so.

In just 24 hours Israel hit 200 Gaza sites and reportedly killed 8 more children and Hamas in retaliation unleashed rockets.

Why is our media silent about this? Why is the Daily News , SA's newspaper, not editorialising this so that governments of Israel and US whose ambassadors do read your paper know and understand the growing anger and demands for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador by our government.

You too, where ever you are, can protest and call upon yur government to expel the Israeli ambassador to your country. You owe this to your humanity.

By the time I have posted this and it appears on your screens, the distractive World Cup would be over and the horrors that Muslims experience at the hands of US supplied weapons of mass destruction unleashed through its proxy Israel, during Ramadaan would be clear.

No Israelis have died as a result of Hamas rockets. Oh and remember that Hamas won the last democratic elections.....

Whilst I denounce deadly force on both sides, it is dishonest to frame the contest as one between equals because one of the aggressors is a serial coloniser and occupier of another's sovereign property that gives the other every right to respond as it does since the UN is like a eunuch calling for "restraint".

Harsh as my response may seem, I am sick of our media's black out of news from alternative sources and I am sick and tired of our reporters silence, possibly due to editorial caveats, on what is happening to human beings.

You don't have to be a Muslim or a Christian, a Hindu or a Jew to stand up and expose this evil. You have to be a compassionate and caring human being.
