Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year

2014-12-25 05:12

May peace greet your hearts this Christmas Day and the coming fresh New Year.  In the complex arena of human relations, may we make choices on the side of love, not hate; on the side of inclusion, not exclusion; tolerance, not intolerance.

And as we leave this mountain top of this year, let us hold on to the spirit of fellowship and the oneness of family.

We have trodden the year and traversed its landscape – a whole spectrum of it in joy and sometimes in tears. May there be harmony.

We go now to walk together into 2015 as children; let us pledge that we won't get weary in the difficult days ahead.

And in the joy of a new beginning let us work for that day when no group shall lift up sword against another group.

Let us work for that day when every man and every woman shall sit under his or her own vine and fig tree and none shall be afraid, when justice will roll down like waters and righteousness as a mighty stream.

Let us truly give thanks for the glorious experience we've shared in 2014. Let us not shrink to our tasks though pressed by the flood of mortal ills.

May enmities in our relations dissolve into peacefulness and love, and bring healing.  Let us work together for lasting stability, mend our brokenness, heal our wounds, and shun the exploitation of the poor through greed and corruption.

With hearts of love let us seek forgiveness and heal our wounds. Let us turn to each other and not on each other in the daily jostling and complex arena of human relations, and work for that joy of a new beginning.
