Shut Up Whites during this Reconciliation Day

2016-12-15 16:34

We have to come to grips with the question of what we must do with the current burden called South Africa. It is about time that we take off the gloves and speak honestly to ourselves about our future as a country, our mistakes, our fears and our anxieties.

The Day of Reconciliation, December the 16th of every year is declared the Day of Reconciliation. It is specially a day for the Africans and Whites, to look at each other differently.

South Africa as it is currently, is far from a firm idea. You just have to go through social media and online news sites to realize how violently fractious the country is. The way the Blacks and the Whites in this country savage each other is nothing short of scandalous. Each group tries to outdo the other in the race to put the other down.

However, you come to the awareness that despite all their efforts to paint each other in the most negative light none of them succeeds in getting the other group to change their minds.

The Whites in particular have been vicious over the Blacks. They attack the Blacks on social media calling them all put down names, such as calling them monkeys and baboons.

However, if you notice that despite all their efforts to paint the Blacks in the most negative light they don't succeed to make them change their minds.

They say that insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, obtaining the same results while expecting different results.

You keep trying to present Blacks in negative light and they keep not seeing themselves as bad, so why keep doing so? Don’t you see that the Blacks are no takers for your childish actions to negatively stereotype them? You are stupid! You are a fool!

The majority of Africans have since rejected the notion of Reconciliation as pronounced by Nelson Mandela. They think they have been sold out.  Have the Whites took effort to change their bad attitudes?

The wound of racism haunts South Africa simply because South Africans, (especially the Whites) imagined that they could get over the evil past through cheap assertions and the mere invocation of the mantra of the two Rs: Reconciliation and Rainbow nation. These two Rs are actually about willed forgetfulness that is desired—indeed, it is about desiring the Blacks to play the ostrich.

That is the first thing to note about this country as we celebrate Reconciliation Day: Racism.

The Second thing is Corruption:

The ANC instead of bringing much needed development to the majority of people is corrupt to the core. I am not going to be held down by contested, contending accounts about this fact. At the minimum we should all agree and accept that as long at the ANC is this way and continues to rule this country then we are finished, dead. Either the ANC change or the people vote differently. Everyone accept this, including the ANC.

ANC currently, is an iniquitous amphitheatre, dedicated to the atrocious corruption. It has degenerated to become a haven of haughty micro-emperors and midget conquistadores of the most destructive strains of visionless opportunism and scandalous corruption.

What the ANC is doing is not only insulting our sensibilities, but it denies our land of development and its place in the apex of human success. In the clutches  of the ANC, the country risks being surrendered to the bowels of history as one of the most tragic of comic disappointments in African political chronicles.

I have always wondered what would compel a person voted by the people, the majority being the poor of this country, to go on and sell the country to foreigners. Does that person really have conscience? I have always wondered about that recently.

Africans should stop blaming Apartheid for the poor state of this country. You keep voting for corruption and you turn around and blame the White man?  At present the ANC care less for their peoples' suffering, they have put millions of Black people in deep poverty than before. What has that to do with the White man or Apartheid?

Africans love to talk about the faults of White people; they love to tell us about what White people have done to harm them; they especially love harping on White racism.

Of course, White people have done a lot of harm to Black people. There is no Black person in his right senses that would deny the role of White people in the downtrodden condition of Black people. There is no doubt that White racists may want to put down Black people if only they can use that to show that Black people are stupid and unintelligent and therefore cannot rule themselves.

I am fully aware of  the contribution of White people to the downtrodden condition of Black people. But I choose not to focus on those. Even when I know that White people are racists and discriminate against Black people I deliberately choose not to talk about it, for, as I see it, White people do not owe me anything. I don't care what White people think about me!

The real thing that is making this country not to develop and succeed is not the White man, but the people who are in charge, busy stealing and selling the country to foreigners. African South Africans like to speak volumes about racism and the fortunes of Kaizer Chief and Orlando Pirates football clubs. When Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates are not playing well they demand that the coach must be fired on the spot. But when their thieving political leaders steal in brought day light they seek excuses for them, and go on voting for them again and again.

We are one people and must love and respect all our people regardless of their racial group.Love produces love, respect produces respect, and insults produces insults. What do you want, love and respect or hate? Love yourself and all people and the rest is details.
