Special Coverage: How Whitney Houston Fallen Off the Wagon

2012-02-18 17:20

On 11 February 2012 Saturday, at approximately 3:30 pm in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles Ms Whitney Elizabeth Houston was discovered in her Beverly Hilton hotel luxury suite number 434 where she was staying for the week. She was discovered by her hairdresser ‘drowned’ in the bathtub. She was bathing and fell asleep while in the bath because earlier she was “bingeing on cocaine, alcohol and pills”, it has been claimed.

Her hairdresser pulled her naked body out of the bath tub and put her on the floor then alighted the hotel and they called 9111, the Los Angeles emergency paramedics number.

When paramedics arrived Ms Whitney Elizabeth Houston was still unconscious and unresponsive. Paramedics performed cardio pulmonary resuscitation, cpr; (chest compression pumping with both hands) in attempt to revive her. But this measure was unsuccessful. Then mouth to mouth breathing was performed and this measure was also unsuccessful. Then they took her and lifted her body in the air upside down and shook the body - a measure that will cause all blood to flow to the heart. But this measure was also unsuccessful.

At approximately 3:55 pm Ms Whitney Elizabeth Houston was pronounced dead at Beverly Hills Hotel.

Medical Examiner's Findings on Cause of Death

After her body was skinned, and her body parts assessed, the Medical Examiner concluded as follows:

  • 'Whitney Elizabeth Houston died from drugs and NOT from drowning'
  • 'There was not enough water in Whitney Elizabeth Houston’s lungs to conclude she had drowned'
  • 'Ms Whitney Elizabeth Houston had already died before her head went under the water'
